A groundbreaking celebration for the Northern Illinois Proton Treatment and Research Center—the first cancer treatment and research center of its kind in Illinois—was held Thursday, June 19, at the facility site in suburban West Chicago.
The $159 million state-of-the-art center will be located at 777 Discovery Drive in the DuPage National Technology Park, about 35 miles west of Chicago.
